The location is strategic between Como about 20min drive and Milan about 45 min. You need car though. The rooms are goog, stuff are friendly. However the breakfast is good but not diverse enough, we stayed 5 days with all same types for breakfast.

We booked a suite at the end of the hallway. We thought it would be quiet. But no because people use the emergency door as an exit to the parking. The problem was that the suitcases made so much noise in the morning on the metal bridge we wake up too early. We had to change room because the manager cannot avoid people using this emergency exit. (strange as themselves opened the doors ?!) So we had a downgrade of rooms. Finally they compensated only one night without consulting us. Also the breakfast is really basic. No dark bread, no orange juice, only pineapple juice.

My wife and I had a wonderful weeklong stay at Hotel Albavilla. It was a business trip with some sightseeing opportunities. The location was convienent for my work and visits to Como, Milan, Bergamo and local towns and villages; a true exposure to Italian culture, especially during non-tourist season. Our room was comfortable and clean, shower was a bit small but nothing that spoiled our time; and the exercise room was top noch with a tremendous view of the mountains. The resturant was exceptional - Enrico runs a first class operation from the service and the delicious and flavorful foods, to the attention to details for breakfast and dinner; nothing but good things to say. And Samantha and Francesca were friendly and most helpful during out time providing great advice and guidance for our daily adventures. We look forward to visiting again as my business travels warrant.

The hotel is a 7/10. The rooms are okay, the location is good (not far from Como and 45 minutes to Bellagio. At our stay we always had a high class and delicious dinner. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly staff and the waiters Ernesto and Marco.

Chosen by a tour company, this place is remote. Check in was shambolic. No WiFi password on hand. Grudgingly given by reception. Info pack states that tea/coffee making in all rooms."Not on your room" I was told. A/C not operating. I could go on, but what's the point. Totally incompetent. Next morning, 80% of our group had to have a cold shower. The Manager was "too busy trying to rectify the situation" to answer any of our concerns.

A nice and clean 4 stars hotel with good staff from known chain. Have parking place for each room. I enjoy stay here. Only a remark. The breakfast was ordered from evening, and remains the same for every day ... and in morning you have to say room number waiting to be served what you ordered before. Perhaps this for reduce the costs instead a buffet where choose yourself. If you are in hurry in morning you have organize yourself very well.

Breakfast very poor, the Breakfast hall was not airconditioned, it was hot and uncomfortable. The selection is very poor and due to the heat the only cheese was glazy and tasteless, the yoghurt was warm, the fruit salad was bad and not cooled. By far the worst breakfast I had in Italy. As well the Hotel smelled constantly perfumed, got me a headache, why should one use room scents in a hotel Lobby and all the rest of the building. This Hotel never again! : (
